“Seeing what is right in front of us requires a constant struggle.”
- “In Front of Your Nose”, George Orwell
* Art piece in collaboration with The Dor Brothers
The prophets of the 21st century no longer read sacred books. They analyze metrics and manipulate algorithms. Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos have become digital idols, projected as virtuous, innovative, and world-saving figures. But they are imperfect and inconsistent yet immaculately polished by the media.
In this piece, 30 monitors integrated into a cross-shaped structure play loops of 23 The Dor Brother videos. In them, today’s false prophets expose their own fragilities and contradictions, confronting the viewer with the image they consume and the reality they choose not to see.
The videos are original works that went viral and became major internet hits, each with millions of views.
