SELF made its public debut at the Tribeca Festival Lisboa, in a Warm-up Art Showcase with the piece "1984."

Installed in the main auditorium, where names like Robert De Niro have passed through, the piece with 8 televisions left no one indifferent: it simulates a surveillance room spying on the lives of actors Kelly Bailey and Lourenço Ortigão, as well as their 1-year-old son, Vicente.

Real footage, captured via baby cam, mobile phones, car cam, dog cam, smart TVs, etc., shows how George Orwell was wrong in his book "1984": we are not watched by force; we voluntarily give access to our lives.
